William S. Burroughs and Brion Gysin - Cut ups
I've always wanted to see this. Towards the middle Burroughs gets rather prophetic. Very applicable towards America's terrorist fears.

The Melvins - 40 Watt, Athens GA 10/10/2007
In celebration of The Melvins new album "Nude With Boots". Here is a great sounding recording of them playing at the 40 Watt last year. Recorded by Sloan Simpson. This guy has a real tight recording setup. And he has done an exceptional job as always. The Melvins have the dual drum setup for this show. The second drummer is from Big Business, their opening band. This is great heavy rockin' drone psychedelic crazyness. Turn this one up, and let the drums shake walls, and rattle your teeth.

Beck - Modern Guilt Promo
If you haven't gotten a chance to hear this album yet. Be it by an advanced copy. There is only a few more days to go. Beck and Danger Mouse have done an amazing job. This is a great psychedelic pop album. My only minor complaint is that it is to short. I wish it would have been 2 days long. Enjoy this little teaser.

EFF: Action Center
Action Alert: Tell Your Senators: "Don't Shred the Constitution this July 4th -- Reject Telecom Immunity!" After the Fourth of July holiday, the Senate will vote on the FISA Amendments Act (FAA), a bill that would betray the spirit of 1776 by radically expanding the president’s spying powers and granting immunity to the companies that colluded in his illegal program. Now that the House has passed the FAA, the Senate is the last front left in the battle against immunity, and every vote -- from cloture, to the amendments, to final passage -- counts. Therefore EFF urges all patriots to celebrate the Fourth of July this year by demanding that their senators uphold the rule of law and stand up for civil liberties, by voting against the FAA and for the amendments to the bill that would eliminate or weaken its telecom immunity provisions. | ||||||||||||||||

Keep your calls to your legislators' offices short and polite. Whether or not they agree with you, what is important is that the staffers know you are a constituent, and that you want your legislator to hold lawbreaking telecoms accountable.
When you have completed your call, please help us track the progress of our campaign by logging it though the link below your Senator's phone number. Senators' offices are closed? Try sending an email instead. |
