Here is a great video of Spiritualized live at the Metro in Sydney, Australia. This is the complete concert. The quality is great for streaming video and audio. Also "Ladies And Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space" will be reissued sometime in September. I hope they do a deluxe version with extra music. I just can't get enough from the Spaceman.

Neil Young w/ The Santa Monica Flyers - 1973-11-05

Here is a real gem. Neil Young with his band The Santa Monica Flyers live at the Rainbow Theatre in London, England. I'm putting this up for a friend of mine, who loves the album "Tonight's The Night." They play just about the entire album at this show. The concert was performed in 1973, but the album wasn't released till 1975. So you get a chance to hear these songs in there building stage. And let me tell you they sound awesome. The sound quality for this show is pretty damn good, for an audience recording. Especially, for the age of this recording. The sound lacks a bit of high end, I believe this was done to reduce the tape hiss. Which you hear very little of. Overall I would give this recording a B plus. It is an extremely enjoyable listen. And for "Tonight's The Night" fans an absolute must have.

Alan Watts, I couldn't of explained it better if I tried. And believe me I have tried. Now if I can just keep reminding myself of this, and put it into practice. If we all could, I think we would all be much happier for it.

What we have here is an absolute must have for all CSN&Y heads. The sound is fantastic. A plus sound quality. Not to mention that the songs are wonderful. An acoustic version of "Almost Cut My Hair" and Paul McCartney's "Blackbird" are just a couple of gems on this album. You don't need to be a die hard fan to enjoy this one. My question is. Why hasn't this been officially released? Seriously what is the holdup? Fortunately we have this.

The Faces - John Peel Sunday Concert 1971

I just came across this the other day. And I know a couple of friends of mine who's ears will melt off when they hear it. At least I hope. If you own their box set, you will be a little familiar with this concert. The live version to the song "Cut Across Shorty" was taken from this show. Hence why it is not included here. If you do not have their box set, I highly recommend it. A friend of mine convinced me to buy it, and damn if it wasn't worth every penny. Anyway this recording is a pre-fm from Paris Cinema, London, England May 13th, 1971. The recording was transferred directly off the BBC Transcription reel to reels by Talbe1019. And I got to say he did an amazing job. Thank you so much for your hard work, and sharing this with the rest of us Talbe1019.
For this is truly a must have for all fans of The Faces. It is a stellar recording. But enough talk. Download this and enjoy.

Call for a non-partisan commission to get the full truth on torture, and make sure we don't ever torture again!
Five years ago, the first photos of torture at Abu Ghraib were leaked to the American public. As shocking as they were, we now know that these abuses were just the tip of the iceberg.

In the past weeks, more and more concrete evidence of torture has surfaced—and this is just the beginning.

For the first time, our government is beginning to admit how devastating these actions were to our country and its security. But admitting that we tortured detainees isn't enough—to turn the page on these violations, we need to understand exactly what happened, and why.

President Obama has said that he would consider a nonpartisan inquiry on torture prosecution for the Bush administration officials who were behind these disastrous policies of torture and harsh detainee treatment.

After years of outcry, we're finally taking huge steps forward—but we need your help to keep the momentum going.

Please sign this petition urging President Obama to get the full truth on torture. He needs to see that the American people won't take "no" for an answer.

The U.S. government can't promise us—and the rest of the world—that this won't happen again unless it thoroughly investigates how we allowed these violations to take place. The Senate report itself concludes that our past use of torture has done nothing to make America safer or more secure—in fact, it's done exactly the opposite.

We are urging an independent inquiry to help evaluate the full cost of abuses, examine how we got there, and come up with safeguards so we don't repeat the same mistakes. The U.S. needs to invest in a forward-looking strategy on intelligence gathering that gives interrogators training and guidance on which techniques work, and which techniques—such as torture—don't. To get to that point, we need to fully explore our past wrongdoing.

We can't restore our reputation and safeguard our country until we know the truth. Add your name to tell President Obama that we need to fully investigate torture—it's the only way to make sure that it never happens again.

Tomorrow night at 8 p.m., President Obama will hold a news conference on the 100th day of his presidency. He will be asked roughly 25 questions. We have to make sure at least one of them is about torture.

Here’s how you can help: Urge White House correspondents for the major TV networks to ask the president this question:

The so-called “enhanced interrogation techniques” exposed in the torture memos include keeping detainees awake for up to 11 straight days, dousing them with cold water and placing them naked in a cell kept near 50 degrees. One prisoner -- Khalid Sheikh Mohammed -- was waterboarded 183 times in a month.

Do you believe that a country - or a president - can afford to look at shocking evidence of illegal torture and simply look away?

Act now. Make sure the president is asked about torture tomorrow night.

As you know, the ACLU forced the release of the Bush torture memos and sparked a nationwide debate about torture and accountability. And we’re keeping the pressure on:

• Today, a federal appeals court ruled in favor of the ACLU in an important case against Jeppesen Data Plan -- a subsidiary of Boeing. Jeppesen was responsible for organizing extraordinary rendition flights used repeatedly by the CIA to move detainees to countries where they could be tortured.
• In response to a long-standing ACLU Freedom of Information Act lawsuit, the Department of Defense has agreed to release a substantial number of photos depicting the abuse of prisoners by U.S. personnel by May 28.
• In another crucial ACLU case, a federal judge has rejected the CIA’s attempt to withhold records related to the agency’s destruction of 92 videotapes that depicted the harsh interrogation of CIA prisoners.

These events are critical to helping the public understand the scope and scale of prisoner abuse. They are also crucial to holding senior officials accountable for authorizing or permitting such abuse.

Woodstock 40th Anniversary Directors's Cut

Woodstock - 3 Days of Peace And Music’ , the 1970 Oscar winning film about the 1969 festival, has been revamped and re-cut for release as a 4 hour Director's Cut to celebrate the 40th anniversary this June.

The film, and a documentary spanning four discs now boasts two hours of previously unseen footage from the festival; including 13 artists who didn't make an appearance in the original film.

You can now see The Grateful Dead, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Santana and The Who in 5.1 audio in the new archival footage.

The Warner Home Video release will be available as a 4-disc DVD and 2-disc Blu-ray on June 15.

The Dead Opening night. Greensboro NC 4/12/2009

What an amazing night. The Dead sounded great. Really love what they are doing with the songs. Some serious jamming going on here. They had us all smiling from ear to ear. I'm still not back to earth yet. Everybody in Greensboro was very nice. From the police to the coliseum security, they all let us have a good time. The parking lot scene was very chill. Everyone was just having a good time, the way it should be. Next stop Worcester Mass. Can't wait to get back to my northern brothers and tear it up.

The Dead - "Free The Dead" NYC Taxi Tour

To celebrate The Dead starting their new tour. They played three concerts on Friday March 30th. All the shows were free to their fans. Now, that is cool. Wish I lived in New York. Fortunately, some very nice Deadheads took the time to record these concerts and share them with the rest of us. Big big THANK YOU to them. The first show was acoustic. The second was electric. These are audience recordings. And they both sound amazing. The Blender Theater concert sounds amazingly clear. You just can't beat the sound of Neumann microphones. The Angel Orensanz Center for the Arts concert is just a bit shy, but still sounds wonderful. The tour kicks off April 12th, in Greensboro, North Carolina at the Coliseum. A bunch of my friends and I are making the trip. And from there I'm off to Boston to see them on the 18th and 19th. See everybody opening night for the Long Strange Trip.

The Brian Jonestown Massacre - The Independent, SF.3/18/2009

So, The Brian Jonestown Massacre are playing in Atlanta, on Friday the 10th, and man, I can't wait to hear this psychedelic music. Just picked up tickets today. The opener is called Flavor Crystals. I got a chance to listen to a hear few songs today, and they sound very interesting. Definitely a good choice for an opener. I'm going to make the trek in early to check them out. Some exciting news about BJM is Matt Hollywood and Joel Gion are back with the band. This is the icing, man. It's been along time since I've seen them play together. Oddly enough it was years ago at a bar in Atlanta called The Point, RIP. It was a awesome venue to see a awesome band. To celebrate this coming concert here is a show from earlier on this tour. Live at the Independent in San Fransisco, CA. This is an audience recording that sounds pretty damn good. Not to mention the set list. Enjoy the music, and I hope to see some of you at the show.
