Here is a nice sounding recording. This a board recording from when they were on tour with Neutral Milk Hotel. Olivia Tremor Control are true psychedelic argonauts. This concert is just dripping in lysergic frequencies. I wish these guys were still making music together. Fortunately, we have all the splinters of this band creating new bands. Not to mention influencing many new psychedelic bands.

Ray Davies - Working Man's Cafe

Picked this up about a week ago. It's pretty damn good. There are some really strong songs. Vietnam Cowboys is the first song and definitely gets you ready for the album. Love the lyrics. If you a Kinks fan, and you liked his last album "Other Peoples Lives" I don't think you will be diappointed. The album has gotten really strong reviews, if you are into that shit. Go get it.

Kelly Stoltz - Circular Sounds

Also check out Kelly Stoltz "Circular Sounds" I've been listening to this album every freaking day. He's got it. This guy wears The Kinks on his sleeve with out a doubt. His voice has a bit of a Ray Davies feel to it. I can't recommend this enough. Check out track three The Birmingham Eccentric.

Tim Buckley - Starwood, LA Janurary 1975

This is a must have for Tim Buckley fans. Finding live concerts of Mr. Buckley is a rare thing. There doesn't seem to be many out there. So, it's even better when you come across one that has this kind of amazing sound. If you are not familiar with Tim, he is the father of Jeff Buckley. And after listening to this show, you will see that Jeff aquired quite a bit from him.

I've had this for some time now, and have just recently put it back in my head. What a great soundboard. Tim just rocking out with a full band backing him up. Tim's vocal range is truly mind blowing psychedelia. I owe my friend Frank big time for turning me on to him many years ago. Hopefully, I can do the same for you.

Got turned on to these guys by the Anima called FLCL, it's on Adultswim. I don't know what the hell they are saying, but I love it. FLCL Soundtrack Volume 3 is all The Pillows. Gotta get that album. I know this music is a little out of the norm for here, but what the fuck. It's good. It's got emotion, which seems to be missing in most music these days. Anything that can my my eyes tear with happiness and excitement. It fucking AOK with me. Enjoy.

Spiritualized -Boston Museum Of Fine Arts- 11/19/2007

This is the last show of the US "Acoustic Mainlines Tour." And a great sounding show at that. Not only was it last night of the tour, but J. Spaceman celebrated his 42nd birthday that evening. The man sure did it in style. A special note he played "Shine A Light" the first and only time on the US leg. This concert was recorded, and shared by Bradley . He used a Sony ECM-719 mic and a Sony MZ-RH10 Minidisc. The wave files were then converted to 192 kbps MP3s. Bradley did a great writeup of the show at his Blog site. So, please try and stop over there to give him a big thank you. You can download the songs individually at his site, or get the whole show here. Been listening to it for a couple of days now, and I love it. The sound quality is as strong as the previous show I post last month. If you liked the Union Chapel recording, you will definitely love this one.

Led Zeppelin Live 2007 Amazing New Recording

I gotta say hell yes. This is the best recording to date. The sound is wonderful. Recorded by Per. Front of Board (approx. 15 meters ahead of soundboard). Dead center. And you damn well feel right there in the audience. Per has a fantastic recording setup. Using those ever beautiful Schoeps MK41s microphones.
Thank You Per. You did an amazing job. Thank you for sharing this great historical show with us. This is by far the best.

Pink Floyd KQED 1970

Well here is a little Pink Floyd for this Christmas Eve. Not sure the the whole deal on this. The sound is amzing this much I do know. The story behind this recording has brought some debate. Feel free to weigh in. This is what was written with the recording I got.

"Disclaimer"

"This audio is not from a DVD transfer. This recording
comes straight from a DAT transfer from the master
reels. "

"This is the story I was told when I received
this recording. During the mastering of the
KQED DVD, an employee and avid music fan had
access to the master reels. Not wanting to let
this moment pass, he managed to make a copy.
From there other copies were distributed from his
master copy. This recording was taken directly from
his master copy. I received this from a friend of a
friend who knew I was a huge Pink Floyd fan and
audio enthusiast. I was asked if I had ever heard
of a KQED television session? At that time I had not.
I'm told he can get me a copy of the audio. At this
point in time I was highly skeptical. A few weeks
later I received an overnight delivery. And the rest
is history. "

"Too bad you greedy bootleggers can't get a hold
of my master copy. Set the music free. I hope everyone
enjoys my efforts."

OK, So now you know as much about this as I do. I do enjoy the effort. The sound is amazing. Merry Christmas Eve.

Spiritualized "Acoustic Mainline" Union Chapel, Islington, London

This is a must have concert. Jason Spaceman does it again. I just got this concert a few days ago, and haven't stopped listening to it yet. Recorded by musicsaves00. The concert takes place at Union Chapel, Islington, London on December, 9th 2007. This is Psychedelic Gospel. If some of these songs don't make your heart feel like it wants to swell and explode? There is something wrong with you. Songs like "Think I'm in Love," "Lord Can You Hear Me," and "Stop Your Crying," sound beautiful with the Gospel Choir. "Ladies and Gentlemen We Ar Floating in Space" eloquently blending into "Only Fools Rush In" makes you want to cry with Joy. And the icing on the cake is Jason doing his own rendition of "Silent Night" like only this Psychedelic man can. I just can't say enough good things, about this version of the group, and the truly beautiful music they made, on this night.

So, they ride again. I just got a copy of the show. The people are going nuts. The show itself rocks pretty hard as well. Sound quality is not bad. Recorded by Sloburn. Who I can't thank enough.

This is his own review on his recording. "This is not the best recording I have ever made. Not even close. Section 407 is all the way up in line with the ending of the floor. Fortunately I managed to move down from the second to last row which was considerably higher up than row J."

"Since this show is what it is I assume most can live without perfection for awhile. I'm sure better sources will turn up but this is listenable and will give you a great feel for the show."

I could not agree with him more. This show is now pretty much everywhere. But if you haven't come across it yet. Blog Stoned has a great page of Sloburn's recording it's both in FLAC and MP3. He also has a bunch of video links aswell.
